Patience is a virtue that we all must possess in life if we want to be successful in everything we do. Sometimes our dreams take years to be fulfilled and most of the time not without challenges. The key is to never give up and continue to work on making our dreams reality. When we find ourselves overwhelmed by the hard times, we should use those situations as an opportunity to gain experience and knowledge. Then, once we overcome those challenges we will be in a more advantageous position than we would have been if not for the temporary setbacks. I often like to use the analogy of the process involved in creating a diamond. It starts as a lump of coal, that has to be heated and pressurized over time until it comes out as a diamond. Who would have thought that something so dark and rugged could be transformed into something so bright and beautiful. This is the same process in our lives, we have to go through some heat and withstand pressure before we can reap the rewards. If only we could see the future, then we would know which dreams of ours to dedicate the most time and effort too. But, since we can’t we just have to trust the process and work hard at all until the right one brings forth the diamond. Nothing happens before its time and everything happens at the right time. We only have to keep the faith, keep our eyes on the prize and continue to push forward always.
